Wednesday’s match is the third edition of the Europa Conference League final
– Fiorentina are unbeaten in their last 13 European outings
– Lucas Beltran has 10 goals in 33 starts for Fiorentina
– Olympiacos have scored 18 goals in eight knockout matches
Fiorentina were denied by West Ham in last season’s Europa Conference League final but the Viola have made it back 12 months later looking to lift the trophy that eluded them a year ago.
They face an Olympiacos side that has reached a continental final for the first time in its history.
If they triumph, they would become the first Greek team to win a European title, after Panathinaikos reached the European Cup final in 1971.
They also have added motivation with this game being played at the AEK Arena, home of another of their Athens rivals.
Olympiacos vs Fiorentina (Wednesday, 8pm)
Bet 1: Fiorentina to win
Fiorentina were pipped 2-1 by West Ham last season but have breezed through this year’s competition, going unbeaten in their 13 games to reach this point.
They have proven to be cup specialists under manager Vincenzo Italiano, who also led them to the Coppa Italia final last season before they were beaten by Europa League winners Atalanta in the semis of that competition this term.
They are fancied to get the better of an Olympiacos team who may have overachieved when getting the better of Aston Villa in the last four.
The Greek side have had a chaotic domestic campaign and are currently on their third manager of the season, Jose Luis Mendilibar, who is aiming to lead them to glory after lifting the Europa League with Sevilla last season.
Olympiacos have lost five of their European games this term and may fall to another defeat here.
Fiorentina have been almost impossible to get the better of in cup competitions and they are fancied to atone for their defeat 12 months ago.
Bet 2: Lucas Beltran to score at any time
Fiorentina have done a good job of sharing the goals around their team but Lucas Beltran has managed to chip in with 10 in 33 starts and could add to that tally here.
The Argentinian is also one of the Viola’s penalty-takers and could find his way past an Olympiacos defence that have conceded at least twice in three of their last six outings.
Bet 3: Over 2.5 goals
Both of these teams have found the net with ease in this competition this season and this could be another high-scoring affair.
Olympiacos have netted 18 times in eight knockout games while Fiorentina have scored 11 in six.
Side with over 2.5 goals in what should be an enthralling final.
